On Monday 19th January, Group C met two organizers from Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind. For this module, we are working for the organisation to make a 'viral' video for two activities the place hosts. First of all, they told us about the organisation and they are self-funded. The showed us the different types of blindness and how they differ. This got me motivated to make a good quality video as people need to be aware of the place because its a place where people can go to make friends with others who suffer the same condition as them. The Society host a cookery session and a singing session.
In Group C there is four separate groups, two of us are focusing on the cookery session and two are focusing on the singing session; my group decided to pick the singing session as we have a good idea on how to film it and make it powerful. Our viral video will be short as if its too long, people may not watch. We want people to share the video on social media sites and this will help get the word around about the organisation.
The filming will commence next Wednesday (28th January) and production will last 45 minutes.
