Green Screen footage - Avid Media Composer

After the green screen session, there was another session shortly after that focuses on special effects when using green screen on Avid Media Composer.

To create effects, add a video track then edit the green screen clip on V2 on top of your background video. Move the monitor icon onto the V2 track. Click on the 'effects' on the left hand box.

Steps below:

Click

'Key'

then

'Spectra Matte'

then

Drag the Spectra Matte on your V2 video.

then

press the 'Effect mode' button

End.

It gives you many options to give your special effect video a interesting look e.g. color, contrast etc. Using it correctly will make it believable.

I was impressed on how simple using green was and I now know how to use it effectively by following these tips.
