Sync sound with video
In this session, we were shown how important a clapperboard is to a production and in post-production. As this was a Mac session, we was given a video and various audio clips so we had to put the correct audio with the video by looking at the details on the clapperboard.
e.g.
Roll Scene Take
1 2 4
With the information above you can search for the correct audio.I found this practice very usual as it can be stressful if you are given a project to edit but no guidance of what audio goes with what video. In the future I will always take a clapperboard with me to every production as I know its an important device to have.

Sound equipment with camerawork
With the Canon XF100 camera, we hooked up the Zoom H4N by using a XLR cable. The reason why we did this is because we wanted to use shotgun mic whilst trying to capture video and sound at the same time. This will save time in post-production if you don't have enough to edit a project quickly. This technique is usually used for interviews, television events etc.
We got introduced to wireless 'radio' mics and how to set them up by using a receiver. We were told how set up the two devices and how to attach the mic onto the contributors correctly with consideration.
